We believe partnerships helps us drive more impact.
Over our years of working on sustainable tourism certification, we have developed strategic alliances with other leading sustainability organisations, research organisations, other certifications and exclusive platforms for sustainable tourism businesses. This includes:
The Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) manages the GSTC Criteria, global standards for sustainable travel and tourism, and provides international accreditation for sustainable tourism Certification Bodies. The GSTC is an non-profit organisation that represents a diverse and global membership, including national and provincial governments, leading travel companies, hotels, tour operators, NGOs, individuals and communities – all striving to achieve best practices in sustainable tourism. Preferred by Nature is an active member of GSTC, and we have developed our own sustainable tourism standards for certification of accommodations and tour operators in alignment with the GSTC Industry Criteria. This effort has allowed Preferred by Nature to achieve GSTC formal recognition status for our tourism standards.
