Benjamin plays dual roles in Preferred by Nature as Head of Press in Denmark and a Communications Specialist globally.
The trade and harvesting of timber and other commodities such as rice, soy, and palm oil are fundamental to the challenges we are facing today. Preferred by Nature is in the frontline, providing sustainable solutions, which will ultimately benefit all of us.
He works part-time on the LIFE Project, ‘Enabling Effective Implementation and Enforcement of the EU Timber Regulation in 6 Key Timber Importing Countries’, which Preferred by Nature is implementing together with 12 EU-based project partners. He also assists with other communication tasks as required.
Ben has been a foreign correspondent, investigative journalist and editor for many years. He is also a co-founder of DanWatch, a journalistic organisation working with structural and global issues related to trade and consumption.
Ben joined Preferred by Nature in September 2019.
