
On the 8th and 9th of October, timber trade federations and their members from around the world will meet in Geneva, Switzerland and discuss todays hot topics: Rising demands for sustainable timber and the global credit crunch.
Under the headline "New Rules, New Dilemmas – Solving Buyers’ Needs in a Tough Global Market", the second International Timber Trade Federation Day features updates on changing legislation and procurement policies. The agenda includes updates on the EU Due Diligence legislation and the US Lacey Act as well as discussions about the role of certified products among the EU and Brazil timber trade in difficult times.
