Neli is responsible for the FSC Chain of Custody audits in Bulgaria and neighbouring countries, as well as translating internal and external documents, maintaining the web page, organising seminars and handling other Preferred by Nature project work.
The responsible and sustainable forest management is a priority at my work. It is a way to ensure that forest resources are preserved to meet the needs of future generations and to combat dynamic global climate change.
Neli studied Forestry and Landscape Architecture at the University of Forestry in Sofia, Bulgaria. She has worked in the environmental non-profit sector, participating in numerous environmental protection campaigns, projects, and relevant publications. Neli brings with her solid experience in investment control, ecological and educational activities, green area design, and graphic projects. She has also been involved in projects such as Management of protected areas, Sustainable Forest Management, and Climate change initiatives.
In her current role, she serves as the lead auditor for Forest Stewardship CouncilTM (FSCTM) Chain of Custody, Rainforest Alliance Supply Chain, UEBT and Rainforest Alliance Herbs & Spices Programme and UEBT/IC programme.
Neli has been working in the regional office of Preferred by Nature Bulgaria since June 2016.
