Mariette Samoyeau
Mariette works as a Forestry and Biomass Specialist at Preferred by Nature, supporting Forestry, Biomass and Climate programmes. Her role includes providing auditing services to clients and offering expertise and guidance on forest management-related topics.
During her studies, she completed an internship in both tropical and boreal forests in Madagascar and Canada. After graduating, she worked for FSC France for a year, focusing on the ecosystem services procedure. Then she moved to La Réunion, a French island in the Indian Ocean, where she worked in tropical forests for three years. She developed forest management plans for the French state forest administration.
After that, she moved to the south of France, where she worked in private Mediterranean forests for three years. Her work included forest management and assessments, as well as overseeing an FSC group certificate.
