International Sustainable Rice Forum 2025

Can the world’s most important staple become climate-smart? Discover the innovations, partnerships, and policies shaping the future of low-carbon rice at ISRF 2025.

The International Sustainable Rice Forum (ISRF) 2025 will gather leading voices from across the global rice sector to address one of the most pressing challenges in agriculture — how to produce rice sustainably while cutting greenhouse gas emissions.

Over two days, participants will exchange knowledge, build partnerships, and uncover practical solutions that link farmers to markets and policies to practice. The event will feature panel discussions and hands-on breakout sessions designed to spotlight field-tested innovations, market-driven approaches, and enabling policies that can accelerate the transition to low-carbon rice.

Organised by Preferred by Nature with the Sustainable Rice Platform (SRP), Rikolto, and the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), ISRF 2025 will bring together farmers and millers, traders, brands, researchers, NGOs, donors, and policymakers. The programme will address financing mechanisms, sustainable production standards, and the business case for adopting low-carbon practices.

With rice being a staple for half the world’s population and a major source of methane emissions, this forum offers a vital platform to scale solutions that benefit farmers, improve resilience, and contribute to global climate goals.

Early-bird registration is open until 30 September 2025, with special rates available for CSOs, NGOs, government, and academia.

Sponsorship and exhibition opportunities

Organisations looking to engage directly with the rice sector can secure sponsorship packages or book exhibition booths to showcase solutions, build partnerships, and gain visibility among farmers, traders, brands, and policymakers.
