Preferred by Nature commissioned the World Biodiversity Association (WBA) to conduct a two-year biodiversity assessment across 25 farms participating in the Landscape Enterprise Networks (LENs) programme in Italy. Using scientifically robust biodiversity indices and landscape-scale analysis, the study found generally strong baseline conditions for soil biodiversity, air quality and freshwater biodiversity, while establishing a benchmark for measuring future improvements linked to regenerative agriculture practices.
