To support organisations in this journey, Preferred by Nature has developed the Due Diligence Toolkit, drawing on our Sustainability Framework. This framework integrates key sustainability principles across commodities and landscapes and serves as the foundation of the toolkit. It also supports organisations in achieving Preferred by Nature Certification through a risk-based approach, ensuring alignment with both environmental and social standards.
The framework and due diligence toolkit have also been aligned with the due diligence requirements of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).
Whether you’re just beginning to develop a due diligence system or looking to enhance an existing one, our toolkit offers step-by-step guidance, ready-to-use templates, and expert resources to help you manage risks and ensure responsible sourcing.

Preferred by Nature Certification employs a risk-based approach applicable to all types of companies and land managers. It is based on our Sustainability Framework which has been updated to align with the EUDR requirements. Our aim is to support businesses in complying with the requirements while ensuring sustainability across commodities and supply chains.
