Aneeka Malik
Aneeka drives our efforts to simplify the systems and documents used in services within the Sustainability Certification Division.
Aneeka oversees the Programme Management unit and leads a team of programme technical leads responsible for the technical oversight of certification and verification services (e.g. FSC, RA, PEFC, RSPO, SBP). Collectively, they serve as Preferred by Nature’s global resource for policies, systems, quality monitoring and training.
She is part of the Sustainability Certification Division Senior Management Group.
Aneeka joined Preferred by Nature in 2018. Prior to this, she worked at Rainforest Alliance as an experienced auditor of several chain of custody standards in forestry and agriculture, and trainer for FSC and PEFC Chain of Custody expert courses. Before finding her home in certification, Aneeka began her career reporting on forestry issues at a local NGO in Dhaka, Bangladesh, where she became interested in the intersection between forests, industry, and people.
Since 2021, Aneeka serves on Preferred by Nature’s Board of Directors as a staff elected board member.
