Michael Byskov Koldsø
Michael Koldsø serves as a Lead Auditor, conducting evaluations against forest management, biomass, and Chain of Custody standards across Scandinavia. Drawing on extensive experience in practical forestry, timber procurement, and certification, he helps organizations navigate increasingly complex sustainability and market requirements.
As a Lead Auditor, Michael coordinates and conducts evaluations against FSC Forest Management, PEFC Forest Management, FSC Chain of Custody, PEFC Chain of Custody and Sustainable Biomass Program (SBP) standards, including biomass verification. He works closely with forest owners, forest managers, biomass producers, wood processors and other stakeholders to ensure credible, efficient and value-adding certification and verification processes.
"Certification is no longer just a market advantage – it is increasingly becoming a license to operate. I believe the process should be practical, transparent, and focused on creating real value for forest owners and companies while helping them meet the growing expectations of customers, stakeholders, regulators, and society."
