
Padmore Boateng Ansah
Padmore supports the implementation of projects in Ghana that promote sustainable land management, enhance the resilience and capacity of local communities, and advance deforestation-free commodity production.
At Preferred by Nature, Padmore contributes to project planning and development, fieldwork, coordination with partners, and monitoring and evaluation activities. His role involves collaborating with stakeholders across sectors to address complex and interconnected challenges. He supports the delivery of workshops, reports and data collection efforts that align with the organisation’s mission to benefit people, nature and climate.
Padmore brings nearly a decade of experience in forest protection and conservation, sustainable land use, landscape restoration, community development and agroforestry. Prior to joining Preferred by Nature, he worked with Rainforest Builder as an Assistant Research and Development Manager, where he contributed to the large-scale restoration of degraded forests in Ghana. His expertise spans cocoa landscape management, tree improvement and seed conservation, large-scale nursery establishment, climate-smart agricultural practices, community engagement, and delivering training and capacity-building programs for farmers.
He holds an MPhil in Plant Physiology, a BSc in Biological Sciences from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana and a Certificate in Ecosystem Restoration Monitoring and Assessment from the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
