Teri Frye
Teri works as a Supply Chain Specialist at Preferred by Nature. She holds a degree in Forest Resources and Conservation from the University of Florida. She began her career as a County Forester in Florida, helping private landowners manage their woodlands. She later procured logs for sawmills in Virginia and Tennessee. Through her family's forestry consulting business, she gained broad hands-on experiencein site preparation,logging and log and lumber sales.
As Conservation Education Coordinator for the Tennessee Forestry Association and the state's Project Learning Tree coordinator, she led teacher workshops and educational programmes across Tennessee. Her work with the Tennessee SFI State Implementation Committee sparked her interest in forest sustainability certification. Since April 2023, she has worked with Preferred by Nature in forestry certification services.
Teri also holds a degree in accounting and brings prior experience as a bookkeeper and staff accountant, combining financial expertise with a long-standing passion for sustainable forestry.
