Side Event Theme and Objectives
This side event focuses on "Regenerative Agriculture: Empowering Global Agri-Food Supply Chains for a Nature-Positive Transformation", structured around three core themes:
Theme 1: From Pilot to Scale
How can companies scale regenerative agriculture from pilot projects to mainstream supply chains? What are the real barriers to farmer adoption? How can corporate commitments be implemented on the ground? Through cross-company dialogue on real-world cases, we will explore replicable pathways for scaling.
Theme 2: Systemic Incentive Mechanisms
How can we build an incentive ecosystem that encourages farmers to transition, banks to lend, companies to procure, and insurers to underwrite? The discussion will focus on the coordination of financial instruments, risk sharing, technical training, and business model innovation.
Theme 3: Traceability, Transparency, and Scientific Basis
How can we establish plot-level traceability systems, openly comparable data mechanisms, and scientifically robust monitoring and verification methods? Making the outcomes of regenerative agriculture measurable and trustworthy, providing a solid information foundation for large-scale transformation.
