Namuezi FEDI
As Sourcing Hub Director, Namuezi leads the strategic development and delivery of Preferred by Nature’s Sourcing Hub. She coordinates colleagues across advisory, certification, projects, and data and technology to develop trusted risk assessments and sustainability benchmarks and to make this information accessible via a user-friendly digital platform. She also guides external engagement, continuous improvement, fundraising, and the work of a cross-divisional team.
Namuezi is a sustainability systems builder with extensive experience using law, policy and stakeholder engagement to advance environmental and social inclusion. Before joining Preferred by Nature, she worked on global ecosystem restoration programmes, zero deforestation timber trade, Congo Basin forest protection, inclusive protected areas, and the rights of local communities, Indigenous Peoples and women, providing strategic and legal support to the private sector, civil-society organisations, and public institutions. Her earlier international experience included strengthening access to justice, developing legal-aid initiatives and supporting lawyers and communities across Africa.
She holds an LLM in International Human Rights and a master’s degree in European and International Law. At Preferred by Nature, she brings this background to the leadership of the Sourcing Hub, connecting risk analysis, benchmarking, technology and collaboration to support better sustainability decisions.
"I am inspired by Preferred by Nature’s comprehensive approach to environmental, social, and climate sustainability, grounded in decades of practical experience in advisory services, auditing, and certification. I believe the answer to growing sustainability complexity is not less ambition but better systems. I am therefore very excited about the opportunity to strengthen the Sourcing Hub’s impact and contribute to a more sustainable economy."
